# Start, stop, restart and console access

> Which actions are available by VM status and how to use console.

From the VM detail page:

* Start is available when VM status is stopped.
* Stop and Restart are available when status is running.
* Console is available only while running.

If provisioning is still in progress, action buttons are limited until setup completes.
