# Renew a server before expiry

> Create a renewal invoice and extend service time.

Use Renew Service from the VM page.

You can select available billing cycles and continue to a new invoice.

Renewal is available for VMs in these states:

* running
* stopped
* suspended

After the renewal invoice is paid, the expiry date is extended automatically.
