# Use marketplace apps during checkout

> Deploy supported apps as part of server creation.

In checkout, the Application step is enabled only for Linux images.

When you select an app:

* the app is linked to the order,
* VM provisioning includes app installation steps,
* app endpoint information can appear later in the VM page.

For Windows images, the Application step is disabled.
